Vw Golf Gtd New Car Protection Detail - Liquid Elements Shield
G3valeting were asked to protect this clients new Vw Golf Gtd with our new car protection detail having previously had his last Vw Golf in 3 years ago for a ceramic coating and required something similar having been impressed with the looks and durability of the coating.
After a quick discussion about our music tastes and all things cars we decided that i would apply Liquid elements Shield 9h ceramic coating to his new Golf Gtd .
The car was in fact in very good condition with no visible scratches or swirls just some protective wax overspill from the door drainage runoffs .
The car was treated to a citrus pre wash to remove light grime sprayed with fallout remover to remove iron particles brake dust etc and given a rinse and then washed with Mitchell and king spa shampoo .
The car was then rinsed and taken inside and inspected under lighting to check for swirls etc of which there were very few (the dealership in question were asked not to touch the vehicle beforehand by the client and they duly obliged) the car was then machine polished using Liquid elements Black diamond polish to up the gloss levels and remove the odd swirl.
It was then time for a wipedown with ipa water mix 30% to remove all of the polishing oils, then the Liquid elements Shield base 1 was applied this is a 7.5h coating on the mohs scale and is sufficient to protect the car for a very long time from stone chips wash marring etc but it was the 2nd coat base 2 that takes the coating to 9.3h .
This was applied like base 1 by machine to give a more uniform coat and wiped off ,the car was then given 2 coats of shield reactor to protect the coating whilst curing and give that extra hydrophobic coat.
The glass was sealed with Mitchell and king vision 2 coats, tyres dressed with krystal kleen detail tyresol plastics were coated with the ceramic coating as were the wheels offering around 1 yr to 18 months protection.
Many thanks for looking .
