Back in early December i had the pleasure of this day old AMG 250 Merc in for a Gtechniq protection detail at the G3 Valeting unit in sunny #Middlemarsh #Dorset.
Forgive me if some of you have seen this car on my facebook or twitter pages been trying to find time to do a writeup just been far too busy.
Anyways heres the car when it turned up,the owner picked it up the day before but wanted to try it out for a day before having it detailed .
Then washed with Mitchell and King spa 2bm of course and the usual bits seen to with an assortment of brushes and arches with megs apc, wheels washed with wheel mitt as they were in good shape anyways. Then brought car indoors and dried with some cyc microfiber towels.
Put under the lights, to be fair to the dealership it was a pretty good prep tbh apart from some fairly deep scratches on front of the bonnet .
Here's those scratches.
Anyways to get rid of all that nasty dealer wax the car was clayed with bilt hamber fine autoclay and dodo juice born slippy lube... oooerr missus..
Then i cracked out the polisher to attend to those scratches ...
Then the whole car was wiped down with ipa to remove a) the polish residue and b) the clay lube residue.
Then it was time for the Gtechniq, the customer only ever washes the car and didn't want anything high maintenance so we went for the Gtechniq c1 with 2 coats of silo seal and maintenance top ups every 6 months.
If you have never used the Gtechniq stuff before it is a little temperature sensitive so you need ideally to be around 20' c and it is a wipe on wipe off product if temps are right, i have found you can leave on for a minute or two in cooler temps without it hardening too much that you need a kango to remove it.
carpets upholstery treated to Gtechniq i1 smart fabric and l1 leather guard.
anyways here's a few finished pics glass wolfs nano glass sealant, tyres dressed with Mitchell and king tyre, wheels gtechniq c5 wheel armour plastics gtechniq c4.
One very happy customer, recieved a tip and a bottle of wine as thanks ........
Many thanks for looking..... Gary.
Late November i got a call from a new customer wanting his pride and joy detailed to a standard befitting such a beautiful car it was agreed that it would come down to G3 Valeting towers in Middlemarsh Dorset in late December for as long as necessary to bring it back to it's best as it had been visiting a local to the customer hand car wash.
We decided the best option would be our Intrigue Paint Correction Detail, here's a few before pics of the car on arrival...
As you can see only light grime tbh so being already in the wash bay i thought it a good idea to maybe wash her, first up foamed with bilt hamber autowash through the foam lance.... not a great pic as it was getting late.... well around 3.30 pm. anyways usual wash procedure mitchell and king spa 2bm various brushes, arches with autojoy apc, wheels m&k rim and hood with m&k thread, rinsed and brought inside to dry.
Wax time and our own Bespoke Mitchell and King wax Intrigue as lsp x2, tyres Mitchell and king tyre, glass Mitchell and king clear then wolfs nano glass sealant, fabric hood was treated to Gtechniq i1- interior was vacuumed. and wood veneer was waxed with intrigue, leather treated to Mitchell and king nourish, carpets to Gtechniq i1. Under bonnet cleaned with apc and treated to 303 aerospace protectant.
Got to say it was a real pleasure to work on such a beautiful car and would again like to thank the client in question for the opportunity.
Thanks for looking ...
